Cotechino is a type of sausage consumed cooked and widespread in all regions of northern Italy with a savory flavor that tends to be sweet, spicy and with a delicate aroma. This product is a good source of valuable protein, iron, zinc and B vitamins.
Tradition has it that the cotechino is consumed on New Year's Eve because it is thought that it brings luck and eating the side lentils is said to bring a lot of money, so the dish is made on New Year's Eve as a good omen for the year to come.

Ingredients: Pork, pork rind, salt, spices, aromas in variable proportions, antioxidant: sodium ascorbate E301, preservative: sodium nitrite E250.
 
Storage: as a precaution it is advisable to keep the product away from heat sources, keep cool.
 
How to use: Dip the cotechino still packaged in cold water and bring to a boil for 20 minutes so that the heat can reach the heart of the product, cut a corner of the package to facilitate the release of the jelly formed during cooking. Extract the cotechino, slice it and serve hot with traditional contorini such as potatoes, beans, lentils, spinach and others to taste.
